INRatio 2

I received two new boxes of test strips today and noted that the box was different and the strips are not just INRatio but are labeled INRatio 2. I called Hemosense and they said not to worry that they will work fine for PT and INR but have a new "interface"., pictures , etc. instead of simple printed messages. Go figure.

I just got a shipment last week & mine say INRatio so I know that if mine had said this, I too would have called Hemosense for a clarification.

It's good to be very vigilant of what we take, & our medical supplies at all times!

Speaking of test strips - does anyone know if QAS will send me more and if insurance pays for it since they paid for my INRatio? I have BC/BS and they paid 100% for it. I will be out of strips in about a month and was a little curious about how I go about getting them. I guess I should call my insurance company for confirmation, but thought maybe someone here might know.

I only order a box of 12 strips at a time & I test every week. They (Hemosense) charge my credit card & then I turn around & remit an insurance form along with the receipt to my insurance co which is also BCBS. BCBS will then reimburse me at 80%.

The phone number to order supplies is listed on my INR machine & that's the number I call to order lancets & the strips. I think you can order 100 lancets for about $4.00 or so.
