I recently started working out doing cardio and trying to put on weight my inr has dropped as low as 1.2 adjusted the dose and brought it back up .
I recently started to try to put on weight .
My new diet is i will start out the day with grapefruit juice then a banana ,english muffin with peanut butter shamrock farms refuel drink , a boiled egg or two ,pasta for lunch lots of milk a sandwich and dinner is usually different each nite i have not consumed any large quanities of K that i know of .What can be causing the constant drop in my INR. can exercise effect my INR

My inr last week was 1.6 adjusted from 7.5 a day to 9 mg a day tested last nite and INR is only up to 1.8

Any thoughts

ROSS

Yeap, a combination of all the above is destablizing your INR. Once your consistent in the amount of excercise and the diet your going to do, you should be able to adjust the dose properly to fit the bill without it falling further.

Question, what all is in that refuel drink? I'm thinking there might be an INR killer in there unknown about. Never mind, I looked it up. I thought maybe Soy protein was the culprit, but not in that drink.

Your last increase in dose....I think I'd retest one more time. Your INR should have been higher then 1.8 with an increase like that.

I changed from the 7.5 to 9 mg on Friday and tested Wednesday . I also heard that to many eggs can decrease your INR. I will test again tonite
The drink is called Rocket Refuel by shamrock farms

I've never heard of too many eggs doing it, but then, I learn something new everyday too. I'll check into that a bit more.

Kind of too soon to test for real effectiveness, but I can understand why when your on the low side.

The name of the drink is rocket refuel by shamrock farms , if you send me an e-mail i can send you the nutritional label .

I am not taking my meds with the juice

I reading that potassium is also known as K if that is the case the bananas and other things that i consume have large quanities of K Is that true?

When we talk about the "K" content of foods, we mean the Vitamin K level; which, in excess, will affect your Coumadin/warfarin dosing.
Potassium is something else. You are probably thinking of the Periodic Table of Elements where the symbol for Potassium is "K".
Enjoy your bananas, they are nutritous.:)
