I went to cardio this morning it was down to 3.0 :) he told me to reduce the dose to 2 mig each day and come back in 1 week Im normal again ill enjoy it while it last take care everyone love chris

He should not have had you reduce your dose if you are in range. My prediction is that the next INR will be too low. This guy does not know how to manage Coumadin, and he's probably thinking you're just a hard to manage patient. You really need to find someone else.

Agree You Should Not Be Reducing Dose If You Are In Range. What Is The Doctor Thinking???????

I agree with that also .why is he lowering the dose when the 3 mig is perfect he knows he has a diffcult time dealing with my coumadin INR ,thanks for your input this is tiresome we have to keep going dont we chris

You have to be your own best healthcare advocate and know when to do as a doctor prescribes and when to ignore it. If it were me, I'd stay on the dose that had me at 3.0 and not lower it like the doctor directed. I don't know where you live, but I'm hoping there is an alternative for your Coumadin management. This doctor is endangering your health/life.

You can add me to the list of those who think that you should not be reducing your dose if you are in range! What is that doctor thinking? I also think you should be looking for someone else to manage your coumadin!

Good luck.
