It is inauguration time here next week and I remember where I was four years ago. I was recovering from heart valve surgery in a Cleveland hospital. Today is the fourth anniversary of my surgery.

They told me I needed surgery within 6 months in July 2000 and I found VR.com in Aug 2000. I finally made plans for the surgery in Oct 2000, it was difficult to go ahead because of fear and no symptoms. This site (and all of the great people) helped me get through the fear, and made me feel comfortable going in. My daughter went to the library and posted my results and I enjoyed the support during recovery. So, thanks Hank, and all those still around from that time, and all those who continue to support those in need. I always think of myself as the one who needed the most help.

I am healthy and busy and living a good life. Like the Bush people, I am hoping for four more good years.

Congratulations Bill! Wishing you no "term limits" on your valve and a continued happy, healthy life.

Congrats, Bill

Congrats, Bill

On your 4th Ann. surgery for VR..... ;) ;) I can still remember my Mom and I went to Washington to visit her aunt in 1960. December..and saw all the building going on around the Washington area for John F. Kennedy's inauguration. ;) ;) Bonnie

Bill,

Bill,

Congratulations on your 4th anniversary! May you have many, many more four-year "terms" which are just as healthy and happy! :)

Hi Bill,

Wow, it's been 4 years already? Time flies when you are having fun. I remember meeting you at the Scottsdale reunion for the first time, and remember you telling me you just had your surgery two months earlier. It was amazing to me how good you looked. No one could have ever guessed you had OH surgery two short months before.
I want to wish you many, many more healthy and happy years to celebrate with all people you love.
Stay well my friend and we will meet again.

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Maybe you should ask about getting "lifetime passes" for the Inaugural Ball from now on...

Who cares what political "persuasion" you might be, I'm sure the food would be WONDERFUL!!!! :D

Hi Bill,
Congratulations on your milestone
Just had my fourth anniversary in December. Glad we're both still around and kicking...

Our son Steve is a patent atty. with offices on Pennsylvania Avenue. He sent us an email last night that the city of Washington issued- 4 pages of street closings. Good time for him to stay home and for all of us to watch it on television! :)

Remember when Bob got mad 'cause someone called him 'old Bob'........ (I don't think it was me... ) :p Don't know why I thought of that.... :D If you're out there, Bob.... I know you're just a youngin' like the rest of us.

I really kinda miss ol' Bob.

Anyway... congratulations Bill!! :D
