There is a new hole that has been discovered for people using the following operating systems. This hole is every bit as bad as the previous RPC hole. Microsoft recommends getting the patch on your systems NOW!!!!

Affected Software:

Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0
Microsoft Windows NT Server® 4.0
Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Server 2003

The patch is available from Microsoft at the link below:

Win 95? I thought you at least had Win 98se. I think were going to have to bring you and Les up to speed here soon. That way, we can all be outdated together. Whatdaya think?

Hi Ross. Would this be taken care of by regularly downloading critical updates? Or is it necessary to download it from the specific link you've given?

Thanks for continuing to warn us about this stuff. I for one, really appreciate it.
Kev

It should be available with regular critical updates, but Microsoft says this is as bad as the one that the blaster worm nailed everyone with and recommends getting the patch on pronto.

Hey Ross,
I see you have a new Title, congratulations! So does that mean you got a Big pay raise? lol
Are you still the moderator?
