Sorry, but I just need to complain. I have been doing to much this week and the result is I am pooped. I still have another 3 days to work until I am off. Monday I started off by exercising and going to work. Tuesday was crazy. I ran errands and then went to work. At work (I am a nurse) I got a new brain injury patient for rehab. He was confused and scared. By the end of my shift I had to do several things with him that required 3-4 people to keep him still so I could do it. I left EXHAUSTED. Today I exercised before work. Stupid mistake. Half way through my shift this evening at work my energy was just GONE. Thankfully I was able to sit for about 15 minutes at that time. I then got a second wind and finished the evening.

I understand that I have more energy than many of you on this website. To you I apologise for my pity party. I have been feeling so good lately, I am just a little frustrated with the current week. I guess I am also a little scared about the future when my energy level decreases even more. I'm sure I will feel better in a couple of days.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you've had some very busy days. Sometimes, when I get those periods where my energy is just kind of zapped, I figure I have low iron, or have some little bug that's taking me down.

Obviously Miss Nurse :) , if you continue to be so exhausted, contact your Dr. One may be hard to locate in your work environment.

Debbie:

I'll second Karlynn's suggestion of seeing a doctor.
Too many of us attribute tiredness, exhaustion, fatigue to merely doing too much. Always a good think to check it out if that feeling continues! Been there, didn't do that. I'm wiser now. :)

Thanks for your concerns. I am feeling a little bit better. If I don't feel better after next week I will call.

I happened to run into my cardiologist in the elevator on my way to work.
He said "You look good".
I responded "I'm tired. I have been doing to much this week."
He said "Are you off this weekend?"
I said "No, I changed jobs and now work 7 on/7 off. I am not off until Sunday. I will probably stay in bed on Monday."
He usually is at the hospital down the street most of the time, but I'm sure he was here to do a consult.

Trying to be "normal" I push myself to hard sometimes. I know most of my limitations, but sometimes I ignore them. I don't mind pushing myself a little to hard sometimes because that is the only way I have found to find my limitations. It still gets me frustrated though. I try and remember that "normal" people never get completely caught up either. If God wanted me to be able to do everything, then He would have given me the ability. I am strong enough to do everything that He wants me to do. Besides, my heart defect allows me to be able to sympathize with my patients and their families.

I was still tired and was suppose to work today and tomorrow, but I was cancelled for today. Not enough patients. Yeah! My paycheck is going to look terrible, but it is what my body needs. I have already rested more today and am trying to decide what to do this evening.

Tomorrow's another day!

Tomorrow's another day!

Dear Debbie, so sorry to hear you haven't been well. I hope a wee rest from your work will help a little. Keep us posted.
