Well it has been a week, 4/15 6am I was getting shaved from the neck down ( that was awkward......at first;) ).... the next thing I woke up post op. It seemed like for ever until they took the breathing tube out. My Mitral Valve repair went every well. My doctors and nurses were great.
My days are spent sleeping, walking, meds, and using those breathing toys. ( already starting to get lazy on the walking) The only real issue is the coughing, that kills me. But if that is my only issue I am very fortunate. Well, chat later...

... And it is great to be on other side of the mountain. the View is amazing.

thanks for the time

Joe

Glad to hear things are going so well, Joe. Try to keep up the walking- that is the most important thing for a good recovery!

great news...keep up the walking and the breathing treatments...both will help you recover that much faster.

Now is not the time to get lazy on the walking......shame, shame.

Get going Joe or a few of us will have to come over there and give you a good hard kick in the "you know where".

The view on this side of the mountain is much better once you start moving :D

Good luck on a continued uneventful recovery

Welcome to this side of the mountain. Congratulations. It sounds like you're doing well. However, the walking, breathing, and stretching helps promote full recovery, so don't get lazy now!

It's good to hear you are doing well.

More about walking: I'm convinced it helped loosen up my back, especially after I relaxed my grip on the heart pillow!

Joe if you think coughing sucks, wait until the rapid fire sneeze hits! You'll swear your coming apart. :D

Glad everything went well and wishing you a continude good recovery.

Back in the saddle:eek: Now don't be gettin' on no horses yet.:D

Congratulations Joe!
And it's ok to be a bit lazy here and there; better that than over doing it and ending up back in the hospital.
I think I sneezed for the first time at about 3 mths post op and I screamed. Mind you, I have very big sneezes!

Great news Joe. If you do feel like you need to sneeze I find putting your tongue in the roof of your mouth stops it from happening.

Jeff.
