Well...I've been out for a while now...lol, just have been crazy busy since I got home. Everything went really well with the surgery, I'm even off pain killers already (except regular old tylenol a couple times a day for some shoulder pain) Can't wait for the doc to clear me for everything else...I've got more energy then I have in my entire life. Still trying to get used to the ticking, I sound like a freakin timex...but other then that, feeling great! Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers, they really helped me through this =]

So glad you are home and doing well. You will get used to the ticking. About the only time I hear mine now is when the room is really quiet and I lean my head the right way. But, look at it this way, its a good thing cuz you are still alive and your heart is beating!!! Don't do too much that causes you pain or is a no-no. Glad to hear you are on the other side of the mountain.

My surgeon released me to drive after 4 weeks but I was not released to do anything like mopping or vacuuming until I was almost 6 mos out. DH did all that for me!

Welcome home. Glad to hear about the energy ! Don't over do it. Rest ...walk, breathe, and of course EAT!!

Great post glad to read your energy levels up.
Best part your home, congratulations take care of yourself.

It may take a week or two, but you'll get used to the ticking. Drove me nuts for the first three or four days. Then I started using it to take my pulse. Valve # 2 was a porcine and didn't hear it at all. With #3, a mechanical, I occasionally hear a tic or two. most of the time, i just hear a hissing sound. Take care and mend well.

Thanks everyone =] My INR is all crazy still...but hopefully will be under control soon. I go again on Wednesday to get it tested. Thinking about doing home testing once it's under control =]

Welcome home! You sound really good, congratulations.
Home testing is great!
