Today marks my one year anniversary with part of a cow in me!!. It seems like only yesterday.

Things have been uneventful. I'm back to doing the things I did pre-op. I skied 50 plus days last winter, climbed a volcano to ski, spent lots of days hiking and biking, and celebrated 20 years of marriage by renewing our vows on the shores Caribbean.

I feel as good as I've ever felt, still some wierdenss with the sternum muscles but that will probably be with me for life.

Thanks again to this website which is a great help to anyone who will have to endure OHS.

Thank you very, very much for the inspiration. BTW, does this mean I will come out of OHS knowing how to ski? (And how to play the violin? Or is that too hard on the sternum? Sorry, it's late Friday...)

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

What wonderful news and I wish you many, many more years of good health! You will be an inspiration to me when my time comes for OHS. I will think of all you accomplished post-op.
Blessings,
Wanda
