Whew- no more shots! I got my INR results today- 2.7! So I can officially put away the lovenox- at least until I get my wisdom teeth out in a few months (which knowing what I now know about Lovenox I will likely put it off as long as possible).
Since they would like it closer to 3 I am getting another small increase- 85 mgs per week I think- and getting re-tested again next week.
I had to bring in the kids with me today (all my live-in help is gone) and bless their hearts they were so good and just stood next to me and watched. For some reason I have really no problem with the weekly blood draws- but the shots drove me crazy! Honestly, I think it is because, once again, i was prepared for the frequent blood tests, but not for the possibility of lovenox- it was NEVER mentioned pre-surgery, or even at my discharge at Mayo with an INR of 1.8.
Thanks everyone for listening and support! I love this forum!
(p.s.- my husband is angry about me shaving with razors- even after all your posts- since the NURSE told us I should avoid razors- ug.)
