Way to go, Sunny! I was driving by Overlake today and wondered if you were still in there. I guess NOT :D . Very glad to hear you had a great outcome. Now, did you get the plate # on that truck? I still wanna get my hands on that guy :D

Johnny

Congrats!

Congrats!

Hoping you have a smooth recovery. Remember breathe, walk and nap

Take care,

CONGRATULATIONS, SUNNY!!!

Glad you're back home--it does make a world of difference being home, doesn't it!!! Amazing that they can't impound those Mack trucks.

Anyway, you know the motto: walk, walk, walk, nap, nap, nap, breathe, breathe, breathe.

Give us a post when you feel up to it.

Evelyn

Hi Sunny,

Welcome Home! You will have to take it slow and easy at first (what else can you do?) but each day you will improve little by little. Again, WALK! WALK!WALK! NAP! NAP! NAP! BREATHE! BREATHE! BREATHE!:) Welcome to the other side!

It's so good to hear from you. I'm glad that you are safely over the mountain and back home again. When you feel better tell us more details about your trip. REST, NAP, and BREATHE!

Great news

Great news

Hello Sunny
So great to know that your are back Home. As Dorothy said "There is no place like home." Remember that you are not doing this ordeal by yourself, you know where to come for answers and comfort when need be. Looking forward to hear more about the (darn) truck since some of us are still awaiting it arrival.... Take care.

Way to go Sunny

Way to go Sunny

Been there, done that. Just remember that improvement can be in really tiny increments at first. Don't get impatient; it's much nicer to be happily surprised when you can do more longer than you expected than to be fretting about what you CAN'T do. I always find that much lower expectations are SO much easier to attain. . .:D

And remember also that you can NEVER use the spirometer too often. And take advantage of being able to nap without making excuses.

Bless you - I'm so glad you did so well. As Betty said, as soon as you have the oomph, we'd love to hear some details.

Welcome home, Sunny! Glad to see you on the other side. How DO they get those Mack trucks into the operating room? Take it easy and post often!

Melissa

That was my first post

That was my first post

In the post surgery section, that is. My walks go so well it makes me wonder if I'm doing it right. I walk faster but my heart rate doesn't go up any significant amount. I am taking advantage of the unannounced naps. It feels good to just nod off. I don't think I 've done that in a while. I think I'm just sore right now. One morning I woke up in the hospital in tremendous pain and the nurse said the anesthhesia was probably just wearing off. I haven't had that much pain since then and most of that pain I think is just soreness. Will post more soon !

Hi Sunny!

Hi Sunny!

It sounds like you are doing very well. That truck sure is awful isn't it. Next week it will feel like a bus. The week after a car...etc....
Try to look at your recovery on a week to week basis and not day to day. You will see more improvement that way. I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery.

Take Care!
Gail

Sunny

Take everyone's advice about taking it one day at a time. But you feel better soon enough. You sound like you have things under control. Glad you are doing so well. Walk everyday. Take care.

Wonderfful to hear that all is going well. That dang truck can climb that mountain just like us and we try to dodge, but there it is. Keep on doing so well. Life is wonderful. Ann
