Well after a week, Im back home now. I was admitted to the hospital on Wed and had surgery that Friday and stayed in until yesterday. I was on Heparin drip and had to have my blood drawn every 6 hours. My arms look like terrible. They were able to remove the left ovary and the cyst (which was attached to my pelvis) thru the laproscpe so I only have 4 small incissions. Im just a bit sore in the abdomen but at least it was NOT cancer!! Yipee..

They did an echo the day before surgery and it was excellent. My heart is in much better shape now. My EF went from 45% to 75% can you believe that? I was shciked to say the least.

The worst part was being stuck so many times. I feel so much better now. was cramping very badly before the surgery. I went to my cardiologist today and had my INR checked and it was 2.5 which is good for now. I will go again on Monday and have it rechecked. I have also lost another 6# so its a total weight loss of 50# now since my OHS in Jan 2003...

Friends in heart, Alicia :)

Heart surgery in January and now this surgery! WOW! So glad to hear it was not cancer. Now you can rest and heal and get on with things.

Thanks for the good news.

Take care.

Dear Alicia - I know when you get the news "it isn't cancer" it settles a whole lot of worry. I am glad you had it all done and are doing well again. Just hang on, now - and no more of this. It's already enough, you know. God bless

Alicia, we've all been so worried. This is the best news. Cyber hugs and toasts to you.

I know what I looked like when I had surgery - I'm surprised my spouse didn't barf when he looked at my arms and stomach (not to mention the incision). That venous stick thing is simply out of control in the hospital. The ONLY REASON I wanted out of the hospital as soon as possible after ohs was to escape the phlebotomists. Nothing else in there bothered me.

So I totally sympathize with you. And as for the no cancer thing, I've been there & had that and that's the best news ever. And for that news, all the sticks were worth it. :)

Hi Alicia,

I haven't been online for several days and am just delighted with your good news. Take good care of yourself and get well soon....and yes, God is so good!
