Hey guys!!!! I have a daughter, a beautiful, gorgeous daughter!!! He rname is Guo Yi Hui....we're going to give her an American name too, but we're not sure about that yet.

She was born on July 30, 2004. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really grateful to have had my wonky valve....because without it I wouldn't have the opportunity to know this amazing child.

I want to go pick her up now, but we have to be patient and wait until June.

I can't figure out how to pos her pic here, so if you go to www.girlvalves.com you can see it.

Also, I have some people to email....Kim Caroline, Shelly, etc. You'll hear from me soon. I've lost my mind and need time to find it!

xx,
Michele

Michele,

What wonderful news. I visited the other site and your little girl is just gorgeous. I can understand why waiting is so hard. However, June will be here before you know it and now you have some time to make everything ready for her.

Have fun and keep us updated.

She's just lovely!
Doesn't God move in mysterious ways????

Earlier this month I judged a cat show in Charlotte NC and got to see some friends from Greensboro NC who had adopted a girl from China. She was perhaps a toddler when they adopted her about 2.5 years ago, and I saw her 2 years ago.
When I saw her April 2, this little girl was just precious -- Bruce brought her up to me and his daughter threw her arms out to me for me to pick her up. At the end of the day, she came back to me to give me a good-bye hug.
I told him that he and his wife had a real keeper!

I know you'll be as thrilled with your new daughter as Bruce & Pam are with their little girl. Their life is so much more enriched now.

There was a funny, albeit rather sick, cartoon in the New Yorker within the past couple of months. Picture of a rich trendy woman talking to another woman: "Yes, we adopted a child in China. We're having him raised in China, too."
