There's nothing wrong with scientific advancement, I just don't want to be the test animal. Thank goodness other people do.
 
I think the headline might be confusing, because from what it looks like, he isn't replacing a valve, but this seems to be a new improved "wrap" that goes (outside) around the Aorta instead of the dacron wraps, for anuerysms.

Still it is really cool, he thought there HAD to be a better way so set out to make one. What really amazes me is the time frame from when he started working on it until they actually used it only about 3 years, considerring how long it usually takes anything "new" to even make it to trials.
