16.9% where I am, as posted in yesterday's paper. We're surrounded by +15s

That chart shows us at 10.4% I know that's bogus. I don't have solid figures but it's like 1 in 4 people here are now jobless, so I figure we're more like 16 to 18%.
 
It's showing us at 6.3% . . . I thought it was closer to 8%, but either way, I realize that we're much luckier than most.
 
we were at Kroger's grocery and WalMart on Saturday and Sunday here in Peachtree City Ga and there were not many customers. Then on Sunday afternoon we went to Penney's and Kohl's and the places were really, really crowded and people were loading up on clothes, etc. Go figure.
 
It will get worse if they keep giving our money away. The Chinese Central Bank wants to do away with US notes now. Watch our dollar fall
 
We're at 5.8% here and that's up from 4.0% last year. Stores, restaurants are full these days and they're building new hotels on practically every corner, so the recession isn't felt so much down here.
