If it's any consolation, it's DA*N COLD IN LONG ISLAND, TOO!!! We got about 3-4 inches of snow last night, over a base of rain/ice, so all our schools are delayed or closed.......it IS nice to be retired!!!
The wind is howling and even the dogs don't want any part of outside this morning.......UUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!

Don't get discouraged by our weather today and tomorrow cause look what's coming on Wednesday! You're sending down your own "Arctic Blast" as the weatherman calls it....and says it will be as cold as in 1989 for Christmas! Hasn't been that cold in 15 years...

It got here, yesterday, flurries all day then a heavy snow shower that left snow on grass, ect. This a.m. 10 degrees on front porch...My birdbaths have been frozen now for several days..solid..and only open hole in outside fish pond where the water flows..I think Hootie and the Blowfish..finally went to bottom of the pond. May not see them until Spring.. Hootie, my big one, would stick his entire face up out of the water, when we walked by..did it last week..but think he joined the crew at the bottom of the pond now. At least, we didn't have the wind. That's what bothers me the most...Close the door up there, my Yankee friends. Bonnie P.S. Ross, are you cold?

uh - well - yeah - it's cold here, too. I just went on Billy's birthday thread and saw that we are as cold as Rain, nearly as cold as Billy, Indiana is outta sight. I was about to start a thread but Ross already did it and yep, he's too darn cold. The mentioned SNOW for us about Christmastime. Wouldn't that be somethin. But it probably won't happen - Canadian Clipper sucks that moisture right out of the air - and our lips just fall right off with the flakes from our skin! Then our hair gets straight. It's definitely downhill from there. Till spring.

Yea, that figures. Weatherman's calling for 8 inches tomorrow night, the night I go on my Christmas break. So much for a snow day Oh, well, I'm going skiing at Paoli Peaks Christmas Eve with the whole family, so at least we can look forward to real snow, not that fake stuff

but my son is a living, breathing die-hard LOTR fan! Guess I won 't mention that we only got to 68 today. If it makes you feel better, though, we are supposed to get an arctic front tomorrow with the lowest temps of the year so far. I think we are supposed to get down to 28 or some frozen tundra temp like that. UGH! Only Yanks could appreciate this. We went to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags. We waited for 45 minutes to ride a sled down a hill of "snow." Don, who is from Illinois, thought we were nuts. He said only in TExas would you find a bunch of idiots waiting an hour to sled down a hill of "faux snow." Love ya. Bundle up and stay warm. (I would think that your blood boiling would help immensely!)
