Fox news reported today of a retired airforce major who was caught in a police sting which involved him talking with whom he thought was a 15 year old to arrange a sexual encounter. When they apprehended him he told police if she showed up at the mall he was going to warn her that what she was doing was a bad thing!!
He had been labeled a sexual predator and was in the process of being flown from New Mexico to Utah to face charges. This is the kicker-- he ended up in the ER, diagnosed with an "acute aortic dissection". So his lawyer went before the judge and convinced him that the stress of an arraignment, let alone a trial, would be enough to kill him. acute aortic dissection= FREEDOM!!
