Today I went to Pensacola via I-10. On the way back, we saw small houses (trailer types) headed west towards New Orleans - on tractor trailer trucks. I heard yesterday that they were on the way, but the gov has promised so much and nothing came forth. This time the news is right and the housing is headed there. Good news.
I had not visited Pensacola since Ivan of Last Sept (2004) and there is still damage everywhere. Blue roofs, trees missing many limbs, damage most anywhere you look. That was just on the interstate. The hospital inside is showing repairs being made; I was told it will take at least another year to finish it. Just think what the canes of 2005 have wrought - so much worse that 2004.
