I need you guys!

Hi, all--

I have more than enough time to troll the Internet this afternoon. Free time--yeah! Spend it on VR instead of grading (been doing that all week long) or taking care of other things that need caring for. I do have to take my dad in for a check-up later, though.

I've missed being here although I haven't been gone long, but I do need you all. I was thinking of leaving because all my "fun" heart issues are resolved (hopefully) and now all I'll have to worry about from here on out are echoes and beta-blocker dosages. I guess I thought: my valve is fixed, I'm fine, why do I need to stay?

In fact, with how busy I've been lately, I've questioned whether I should stay on VR. My husband thinks that in the past I've spent too much time on VR, and I've felt like a heart patient being here, but I will stay. You guys are my heart family because no one else understands me the way you all do, and everyone here gives great support to each other! I was reading all the posts for Sue and I got teary-eyed thinking about how much people care for each other here.

I may not be on all the time, but I will make time here and there to post and reply.

Of course, please stay. It is important for those who have been here longer to give support to the new people. They really need your help. I'm still here, maybe not posting as much as I did before, but what I learned throughout the years might just be able to help someone who is having a difficult time.

It's wonderful that you are feeling so well. And for that very reason, you need to stay and help out whenever possible.

I just read your response to my post about symptoms and when you said 'do not let the cardio doubt your body' it really resonated with me and was very helpful! Having said that, yes, we need you here! You may not be able to post as much or as often, but please don't be a stranger. I have always appreciated your thoughts and insight. However...I understand if you need to take a break from time to time. We are only human of course...

Welcome Back Debi... I'm glad you decided to stay... my husband feels the same way and I am sure it is something he will never understand. Everybody here gets me, they understand and they don't think i'm crazy either. At least I dont think they do.. I get what your saying. I am glad you changed your mind. I know things are crazy with school and your dad and everything else but we are family and I am so glad you decided to stay with us.

My son hosts an important forum, and generally is in the IT business. He can barely believe that his old Dad is so involved in this one. I have never had any previous interest in posting to forums.

To me it comes down to the people who are here. The one thing we all have in common is a "very big thing". It is easy for me to be interested in their lives, and motivated to tell them about important things in my life. Deb., you took the words out of my mouth---"I need you guys".

It's an important relationship that no one should take advantage of. If you gained something from the site, we simply ask that you return the favor, in helping others that are just as scared as you once were.

Once you've been through it, your family and there is no one else that understands like we, that have been through it, do.

Sure glad you made the decision to stay around even though you are all fixed up.

As you said, "no one can understand what we've been through except us!" Sometimes, even our own family members can't comprehend the journey & the struggle that we've had and/or continue having except for our family on VR!

Thanks for your replies...but back to working on creating the summer reading project at 6:30 AM on a Saturday for me! And who says teachers don't have homework?
