Not too bad- the bleeding was minimal considering what the surgeon was prepared for since I am on coumadin. I have about a 2 inch new incision on my stomach from having a bump of skin removed, and it was nothin. It was a bit weird stepping into a surgery room AWAKE and thinking of nothing but heart surgery/pacemaker, etc. But all went well. I received a local anesthetic (sp?) to the area, and it was nothing compared to the lovenox injections I went through in June!
Anyway, thought I would report back that all went well, and much easier than I, the surgeon, and the nurse anticipated.
(also helps now that I have some extra pain medication laying around ;)
Sweet dreams!

I dont know what my INR was- I am due to get it checked again this Friday- three weeks after my last test. I have been stable lately in the 2.1-2.6 range. I got a little worried about it being higher with all the antibiotics i needed to take to prevent infection.
It makes me not as worried about my next upcoming procedure- I need all four wisdom teeth out- but am waiting until I am 6 months post surgery first. I just know that my oral surgeon said prior to my valve surgery last May that he would be fine removing my teeth without me going off coumadin- yeah! He said he is comfortable with INRs of 2...
