I thought this would be something important to share with yall to show you how bad the docs in my area can be, and usually are...sadly....Here is the link....:
http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050219/NEWS05/50219026 I hope this gets the message out to the other docs that they need to start listening to the patients more, and stop relying completely on the tests....How sad this is...Harrybaby666 :( :(

But again, if this patient were alive and suing this Doctor, the patient would lose. Because of death being involved, some justice is done, but way to late for the victim. This is what kills me.

All I can say is....

All I can say is....

that It is horrifying that this Rochester Hill Family Practice was where my so called "PCP" was...God, I am glad that I am outta there....I do think that the family should sue the pants off of him and win....there are more and more docs in this area that are mis diagnosing....Not Good!!! Harrybaby   :( :(

I think this is way overdue. For too long, too many doctors have had a "I know everything and am incapable of making mistakes" attitudes. There has been a lot of focus on doctors messing up when it came to treatments or surgeries of diagnosed illnesses but very little in the way of holding them accountable for not paying attention.

How many times have each of us gone in to see a doctor, KNOWING there is something wrong, only to be sent away with the proverbial pat on the head. It is only because many people are so tenacious when it comes to continuing to seek a diagnosis that diseases are found and able to be treated.

I am one of those who would be dead today if I had listened to every line of BS doctors have tried to shovel down my throat.

I am very concerned about those in our society that keep the "doctors are God" concept alive. The more we hold the medical profession accountable for missing problems as well as mistreating them, the safer we will be.

Unfortunately, this leaves the doors open for the type of attorneys who make their living taking advantage of things like this.

And the beat goes on.....

Thankfully the incompetence has been exposed.

Not meaning to high-jack your thread but your posting comes less than a week following the airing on TV about a gynecologist practicing in a fully certified hospital in a suburban hospital east of Toronto.

For 10 this this surgeon/gynecologist performed unnecessary surgeries, including a totally unnecessary hysterectomy on a patient he knew was trying to get pregnant, falsified patient's medical records and it was only through the efforts of a dedicated nurse that his methods were exposed. Following her surgery she was feeling poorly and was crying when the housekeeper on her rounds asked could she help and who was the surgeon. Well, even the cleaners knew how awful he was.

So many patients complained to the hospital and the College of Physician and Surgeons--everything was confidential and he continued for 10 years.

Finally he was exposed and is the subject of the largest class action in the country--some 300 victims.

His license was suspended temporarily but he can now apply for reinstatement. This is probably why they aired the update about Dr. Yai-Ping.

It's beyond belief the hospital looked the other way for as long as they did.
