At lunch I went to Walgreens to pick up three of my prescriptions, Altace, Amiodarone, and coumadin. $90.00 I bought a few other things while I was there and paid separately for them. I picked up my bag and left. I went the 2 blocks to my office and discovered the medicine wasn't there. I immediately went back . No more than 6 or 8 minutes. It was gone! Somebody actually took my medicine. I guess people will steal anything!. It just makes me sick. $90.00 is not alot of money to some people but it is to me. I hope the thief takes a few of them. I 'm lucky I can get them filled again, but I can't help but think about a person on a fixed income who can't pay another $90.00. What would happen to them?

Oh well, just a little outrage for the day!

I am so sorry. That stinks.

Honestly..I think the joke is on them. If they are stupid enough to steal it....they may suffer the consequences with a bleed out and heart block from the meds!

Bottom feeder low-lifes are everlasting. Sorry this happened to you and glad you could get re-fills!

And when and if they ever get caught, it is never their fault. Glad you were able to get them refilled.
Hope the rest of your days goes better.

I'd check the garbage cans in and around the store. Whoever took them was probably hoping that something in there was a narcotic. Once they see what it is, they'll likely trash them somewhere nearby.

I 'm with Gina, maybe a little bleed will make this scumbag think twice before stealing someones medicine. It is a shame that sometimes the ugliness just jumps up and slaps you in the face. I will surely be more careful next time.

Hi Carla-

Sorry this happened to you, but don't give up hope just yet. Make sure the pharmacy knows you lost this and ask them to keep looking. Sometimes we put things down and don't think about where it is, and forget it. It could have fallen off the counter and got kicked under something or fallen behind some merchandise. It happens more than you know. I used to work part time in a store and you wouldn't believe how many things that people drop turn up in unexpected places.

My daughter recently lost her son's Game Boy bag with hundreds of dollars worth of games in it. She looked everywhere for it and decided that someone had stolen it. I asked her to at least tell the front desk at the motel she was staying in. Low and behold, her son had put it down in the lobby and then forgot about it. It fell off the table where he left it, and landed in a dark area. Another guest turned it in that evening, when she found it.
