As I've told you this week, I have been calling Dawn-Marie daily, sometimes two or three times a day & all I keep getting is a busy signal. I just called her a few minutes ago & the same thing.

So, I just called the Jamestown Police dept & they are going to dispatch an officer to check on her. I explained the situation that she is in very frail health, paralyzed & lives alone & I haven't had contact from her all this week. I asked that they call me to let me know of their findings. I just hope that they WILL in fact send someone over there.

If she is not home then that means that she's probably in the hospital but perhaps they can find out from some of her neighbors.

So now we just wait to see what happens........

P.S. Thanks to Blanche & Lotti for providing encouragement.

It does seem peculiar to me that there is a continual busy signal. She would have to have a clear line available just for her nurse or aide to contact her.

So I surely understand why you did that.

Dawn-Marie Alert!

Dawn-Marie Alert!

Thank you all but I just saw where she is logged on so perhaps she's private chatting with someone. (the Jamestown PD called me to tell me she was ok & then a few minutes later, Dawn called too! So alls well that ends well! :)

I just hope that if I ever fall off the radar like that, someone will come looking for me! :p

Norma, next time you get a busy signal for a long period of time, call the operator, he/she can check the line to see if the phone is off the hook.

Norma - what a good friend you are. You are one of the reasons that this site is so valuable for us all,
Thanks,
Dale

Dear Norma, Thank you. You are the kind of friend we all need. Sending a big hug to you, with hope you are feeling better yourself. Brian

Yes, I was just going to say that. Ask the operator to "verify the line" and she will get on and see if someone is talking. That might speed the police over to a residence, also, if you say you have verified the line and there is no one talking on it.

I hope we all have a friend like you out there. Good job!!
