Hi everybody,

I'm sure some of you are thinking that I must have fallen off the edge of the earth...but I haven't. I'm still kicking. Actually, things are going well with my health and I guess that shows in how busy my life is now. I feel bad that I have lost touch with my VR family!! With two teenagers and a business to run, my life is very busy!

My daughter is a senior this year and since I feel like I missed out on so much last year, I've been volunteering for everything to make up for it. And hey, this is her last year and the last chance I have to do this, so why not? I was in charge of the "spirit stuff" for the Booster Club this year and I just got back from being a chaperone for the DECA Club for the State finals at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. Yes, my daughter made it to the State finals. Now she's getting ready to do the play Les Mis' at the High School and then will be going to the State finals for FBLA. I am also volunteering to help with the APE program, which is After Prom Extraveganza. We provide a safe, fun environment for the kids after the Prom dance to try to keep them from going out and partying. It's from midnight- 3:00am. We have a lot of fun things for them to do and give away alot of nice gifts. I'm just not sure I can stay up until 3:00am!!

My son is a freshman this year and didn't like the public school at all, so we luckily got him into an alternative High School here in town. It had a waiting list of over 30 kids on it, but they bumped him up and he was one of only 3 that got in at semester in Jan. He was a very unhappy kid at the public school and in turn was causing a lot of unhappiness and stress at home. I am happy to report that he has had a big change in his attitude and is now happy and loves his new school. Raising teenagers is the hardest job I've ever had!! I never dreamed it would be so hard. There are very good times too, don't get me wrong, but the issues that teenagers have to deal with these days are very tough. It's definitely been a roller coaster ride!

We are going to San Diego for Spring Break in a few weeks. My sister and niece live there, but we're going to stay on Mission Beach this time and they'll come visit us at our Hotel. We're really looking forward to it.

One of my big "milestones" this year has been that I've been able to get back on my snowmobile. We've been out almost every weekend since before Christmas. It's been wonderful!! I'm sure many of you think that you just get on it and ride...no big deal.....well, let me tell you....the way we ride and the places that we go, you don't just sit and ride. You have to muscle that machine around and it's a real work out!! I've built up the strength to pretty much pick up where I left off before OHS. The people that we go with just can't believe how well I'm riding. They accuse me of having a rechargeable battery that I plug myself into at night, like the energizer bunny! We went on a 3 day trip for New Years and I rode all 3 days and was one of the only adults out there dancing with the teenagers back at the lodge after a long days ride. So, I guess that's a good indication that things are going well for me and I can finally say that I feel like I'm back to 100%!!! :D
My husband & I went up for a ride yesterday, just the two of us, it was beautiful!! We got up on a ridge where we had 360 degree views for probably 30 miles. We really did feel like we were sitting on top of the world!! It's days like that that make you so glad you're still alive!!

I guess since I haven't been on for so long, I had to write a book to get you all caught up. There is much more to tell, but I'll spare you the pain...haha. I really have missed all of you and am going to make it a point to get back on here more often and check in. I hope you are all doing well!! I have been reading some of the posts trying to get caught up on everybody, there's alot to catch up on though.

I would love to hear from you all and what's happening in your lives! Take care and keep on ticking!!!!

My last cardio was good, had a test that came out good, and lose two pounds recently. Have been going to the gym for that past few months. I hope to lose 60 pounds this year. On my diabetes, a1c was 4.9, good. So work is as hecktic as ever, had a state refund returned to the state by a new neighbor. Cable problem yesterday that was fixed. So have a great time that is only getting better. My brother is back to fishing and is hard to reach at times. But I am finally relaxing today. Feeling good and taking it easy. Great when you can catch a breathe every once in a while. Take care and keep being you.
