Ok the hysterectomy is Dec. 3rd, I would have prefered yesterday but it's out of my hands.I am having it done minimaly invasive with a laprascope. The Dr. felt he had a good chance of just getting the fibroid but no guarentee (?sp) of the bleeding changing..So I am getting it out done with it get rid of it! One less thing to worry about. And now my MVR is scheduled for Dec. 30. Happy New Year! We don't go out anyway so I didn't really care...Fingers are crossed....Louanne

Dec.3 will come along fast enough.....keep yourself busy with holiday preparations meanwhile.
And your MVR 4 weeks later. My, what a relief January will be for you.
When I gave birth to my daughter I spent New Years in the hospital, it wasn't so bad.
A bottle of wine was smuggled in!

Louanne:
Three years ago, I had my ovaries removed using the laprascope and the DaVinci robot. At that time, the surgeon said that he uses the robot for many different problems, including cancer and tumors.

I venture to say that you will be very happy with this process. Recovery time is very short and the pain is very slight. I used extra strength Tylenol.

I have encouraged many women to consider this minimally invasive procedure. They have been using it for prostate problems and cancer for quite a while. But, sadly, many of the doctors in my city still want to use the "tried and true" method.

Our Governor has the surgery on a Friday and she was back at her desk on Monday. I hope your recovery is that speedy too.

Regards,
Blanche

I put you on the calendar for Dec. 30th and we wish you well on both surgeries. You will be healthy and happy in the New Year!
