I don't know if it shows to others, but I am very pleased with the pictures from my new lens. I think I can see more detail, and better, more vibrant colors.
Indulge me. What did you get? Specs man, specs!
An important disclaimer, followed by specs. From a technical standpoint, I am a dunce. Before buying I check out reviews and opinions of others, and some sample pictures. This lens was described as fairly versatile, and great for portraits. This was important for me, as I am gaining acceptance among the Jemez people, and have had a chance to take some very unusual and striking photos. The time may yet come when I can share some of these pictures.
Ross: I pulled this from one of the reviews. I would love to know what you think.

I have a Canon AE 1 program and when I was working and had money to blow, I started getting into getting different lenses and filters. Kind of stupid for me to do because I've never been able to compose a great shot in my life to save my soul.
I'm sure Canon has something similar. Just go to their website and start looking.
Here is Canon's lens PDF almost 12MB, so don't do this on dial up!
