Wow, be careful what you wish for. Things are progressing quickly since I finally got insurance.

I got a call from Dr Pettersson's office with a surgery date of June 15th. Two days after my birthday, so no big parties for me, lol

I go in for testing on June 8th, for the many days of testing that they do. I'm not sure all what needs to be done. I was told a cath, an echo, EKG, and I'm sure whatever else can be thrown in.

I'll meet with a cardiologist. It will be good to have a second opinion.

I'm a bit overwhelmed, but relieved to have the ball rolling.. I still have not decided which valve I will go with, but leaning toward one. I'll make the decision after I get a better idea of what's going on, and what my options are. All prayers appreciated.

You've picked an outstanding Surgeon and are blessed that he accepted you and can accomodate you in such short time. Make the most of this outstanding opportunity. Best wishes for your recovery and valve decision.

Dr P did my AVR and I don't think you could be in better hands. As far as valve selection goes, if you want an On-X mechanical the Dr P might very well be one of the surgeons with the most experience dealing with them.

You made a great choice, Im 1000% confident your going to do very well.

I put the surgery on the VR calendar, Harry, so you're "official".;) You're going to a great facility, and you have a tremendous surgeon, so the big things are covered.:)

Wishing you the best for your upcoming surgery. I hope all things work out for you & that you have a speedy recovery. Good luck & God Bless.

Harry, I will definately begin praying. Starting right now. Oh yea and June 15 is a good day. It's our son's birthday, so only happiness and good things occur on that day. God Bless You:)

Way to go! One hell of a B-day present, I would woop it up if it were me...:).

I would love to woop it up, but at this point I dont think it would be productive to my health. I am committed to getting healthy, but I will spend some time with family.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
