I got home last night and I'm ready to thank all of you for your good wishes and prayers. Cherbam called to forward them to me.
I had minimally invasive repair done. No chest thunk, no hot wires, no long lasting medications. If there's an easy way to do things, I try.
My "bump" was atrial fibullation, the top valve flutters instead of beating and unless they get you up, awake, and stimulated, it could flop. I didn't get an electric jolt, I don't think, and remember none of it, except them getting me up to the bathroom and putting a cold towel on my head when I went back to bed. I asked for that---and ice cream. Lots of nurses around me for the middle of the night.
They suggested I may go home with coumadin but my electricity took over and worked properly and I needed nothing but the regular post op stuff, which at least will get me sympathy from the family for a while.
Thanks again.
Later.
