Hi,

I am back home safe.Wow crossed the mountain. Can't believe it.
I had AVR with mechanical valve and now on warfarin.
Become weak and back is hurt can't sit long.

Missing the hospital bed for its controls which i could use make me comfortable .

Thanks everyone for the prayers and best wishes.
Any update on ACR surgery.

Welcome to the other side! Now just take it easy & don't get frustrated or depressed because you can't do everything you'd like to be doing. It will take some time but your strength & well-being will come back!! :)

Welcome home and wish you a smooth recovery... take it slowly and follow instructions you were given re walking. Eat and rest and walk, and then repeat over and over in the first weeks increasing your walking distance as instructed!

Welcome Home. Take it easy and rest. It will take a little while to get going again. Maybe if you have a spouse, significant other or best friend with benefits you could ask them for a massage. My shoulders and neck were so sore after I got home so had hubby, son, daughter, the dog (not really) rubbing on my sore spots. Anyway possibly extra pillows or a recliner might bring you some relief. Hope your recovery is quick. :D

Welcome home! I know what you mean about the bed controls! I, too, had a mechanical valve put in a little over a week ago. Can you, have you, heard yours ticking yet? I do mine. It is in one way kind of an assurance that everything is okay. Just too bad they didn't implant a little digital readout in my chest for time and an alarm function - then I'd never have to worry about a watch or clock again, don't ya think?

Take care, eat well, rest, get your strength back and most of all control the pain!

Randy

Welcome home, I will be praying for a quick recovery! Like everyone said, take it easy, it will take time to get your strength back. I myself did not like the hospital bed, for someplace that is so expensive to stay as in the hospital, you would think they would have more comfortable beds!

I haven't heard my tick yet at all!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad we are all on the other side now!!!!!!!!:D

Welcome home!!! I really would like those controls on my bed, now that would be awesome!! I haven't been comfortable laying down since I had the surgery!!

I wish for you to have a speedy recovery,Good luck & God Bless.

Also, for your back pain try sitting in a lazyboy or better yet rent a lazyboy with the massage & heat features

I played around ,arranged 6 pillows on the bed so that helps me be comfortable to sleep.
Now can sleep well and feeling better.so that back is also not hurting.

Randy,I can also hear the ticking.sometimes loud .first fews days it was very disturbing.but slowly getting used to it.
And as u say its an assurance that things are fine.
