Hi eveyone, I thought I was going to have a bad week. Yesterday, I was on line and had a message about an order I di not make. When I opened it up, it was for 1-800-flowers.com. The letter claimed I had ordered flowers. It had a click here. So I did and went to some website that did not make sense. I check the AOL information and foud out that it was a scam to get my information. Well, I did not suffer a heart problem with this. But I am pissed at the person who had me worried for a while. So please be cautioned about e-mail saying that you ordered something, when you did not. Take care. Just sharing this with you. I am alright now.

It's all too easy to be scammed on the internet. I'm glad you didn't go for it. I'm sure others will and that's what stinks.

Hey Caroline,
Thanks for letting us know and I am glad you didn't fall for it also.
Have A Great Week!

Had a job in Orlando (scam city) once upon a time. The phone rang, I answered and the party said "we are delivering the ........ that you ordered; please have a check ready for us". I said we hadn't ordered it and she argued that we did so I got huffy. I told her "Look, lady, I DO THE ORDERING AROUND HERE and we didn't order your stuff" She hung up. This one is a famous scam. They're everywhere, aren't they?

I get spam and scam all the time. I never open any mail that I don't recognize and send it to AOL's scam service. I even deleted my daughter who was writing to me from a computer at work, her message was "Take a look at these pictures". They were actually of her son who was playing baseball. I didn't recognize her address, and didn't want to "take a look" at any possibly naughty pictures. So off she went to the scam list.

Boy, she was kind of mad that she couldn't email me after that. But I got it all straightened out and deleted her address from the scam list.:D :D

Beware of email impersonating EBAY!

Beware of email impersonating EBAY!

Be careful for impersonators! I got an email supposedly from EBAY today. It said they needed to update their information, and unless I sent them the info, I would not be able to sell or buy on Ebay. They asked for a credit card number, ss number and the ever-popular ATM PIN number!

Yeah, right. Like Ebay is going to do that! My son looked at it, and said it was actually a picture of a real EBAY site. I sent it to the proper authorities at the REAL ebay, and hopefully they'll catch the jerks!

A while ago, I almost got took with a similar email pretending to be from Earthlink, but I started to wonder when it too asked for an ATM PIN #. Ebay, AOL, Earthlink etc will NEVER send you an email asking you to send this type of information. You are the only one who needs to know your ATM PIN #!

I read someplace (maybe here) about the eBay scam and the use of their official page. People keep on trying to get your $, don't they? Bad enough the government does it, not to mention these other scum.
