It has been a busy week! Husband continues to await results of serum cultures following his bout with endocarditis. Aiming for AVR the week of Sept 12th. His docs recommended echos for our children due to the genetic nature of bicuspid valves. We brought both of our kids in to their pediatrician for sports physicals and sons heart sounds fine. Our 9 year old daughter was found to have the murmur. I really wasn't too suprised, she is every bit her daddy :) but at least we found out now so she can be medicated for procedures and such. They are lining up a cardiologist for her now, and we will go from there. Our pediatrician has AV stenosis as well, as does his son.

We are in the same boat. We are going to have our 4 kids examined. The doctor recently found a murmur in my 5 year old son. He has a twin sister. We have an appt. for him to see a pediatric cardologist. Our other 3 kids should be examined soon.
