I just tested with the INRatio home tester and flipp'n missed the mark and had to get a new strip and got it but not enough blood! AAAAAAAHHHHH! I used one hand for the first and the other for the second. . . I was told that if I messed up I had to wait awhile because of some blood stuff going on in that hand. . . got any ideas. I guess my question is how long do I have to wait before retesting on the hand I just pricked?:D

I just use a different finger. And I always test on my right hand because my left is my guitar chord holdin' hand!!;)

Don't be afraid to barely touch the drop of blood to the green dot. Trying to get it to drop in mid air onto the spot is next to impossible for me. As long as your finger doesn't actually touch the strip - you're okay.

Some folks here use capillary tubes to collect the blood and then drop it on.

Finger Pricks

I test weekly using the middle finger on my left hand. Last week, I tested twice within twenty-four hours and used the same finger. I just used different areas of the same finger tip.

You'll have fewer misses if you touch the bottom of the blood droplet on the target area of the test strip.
