She alternates between 2.5mg and 3mg and her dosage hasn't really changed since she was 18 months old.

This dosage keeps her INR between 3 and 4.

For me it's 10, 12 and continue alternating. It's been at this level for several years and I'm usually in range. I talso take an 81 mg aspirin daily.

I take 9 mg 4 days per week and 10 mg 3 days per week to maintain an INR between 3.0 & 4.0.

I take 10mg on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and 7.5mg the other four days of the week. That comes out to 60mg a week or an average of 8.571 per day. I votes 7.5 on the poll though since you didn't have a range between that and 10mg. When I'm staying in range (which I have lately) my INR is a constant 3.5 which just makes me soo happy!

I take 23mg one day and the next day 24mg. I home test already for going on 4 1/2 years and I stay within range. (most of the time). If I am too high I have vitamin K drops in the house and take a few to bring it down.

"Normal dose" is 2.5 5x and 5.0 2x.

How in the world did yall find this doseage to best suit you?....So many mg's one day, different the next day, ect....Have any of you ever tried one dosage?....I take 5 mg. 7 days a week.....Do you break up the pills and have them in your daily pill box? Weekly pill box? Reminds me, it's time for mine Bonnie

7-day Compartmentalized pill box, replenished weekly. 5mg pills broken in half.
Brand name Coumadin easier to break than generic.

To my mind, a 7 day pill box is the BEST way to keep the daily doses straight.

FWIW, my oblong shaped TARO Generic Warfarin tablets scored in the middle are MUCH easier to break in half than the round Coumadin tablets. AND, my INR appears to be equally stable at MUCH lower cost.
