Somethings been bothering me all week. I had a tape of Sam Kinison "Breaking all the rules" from the original HBO special in 1987 and I cannot find it for the life of me. I think Sam is calling me from the netherworld, trying to get me to listen and watch it one more time. I don't know if I loaned it to someone and never got it back or what, but I sure do miss it.

How many of you remember Sam?

Did you like him or hate him and if so, why?

I just looked on HALF.COM and "Breaking the Rules" is available on DVD.
( HBO 2001 Release) He spent part of his life here in Tulsa. I liked him a lot. He was certainly "over the top" but different and made you think. "You Ethiopians...MOVE TO WHERE THE FOOD IS!"

Ross,
I remember SK. I liked him, because, bottom line, what he said was funny. Extreme, yes, but there it is.

I have a clip of Mr. Kineson on a "best of" Johnny Carson tape that I have. Sam did a rendition of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" (Elvis song) and it was hysterical!! I liked him a lot - he was so cynical and funny.

Sam Kinison was great. I loved his comedy. Another great comedian who died much too soon. Its a shame. I hope you get your DVD. Check out ebay. You can find anything there!!
