Hi!

Bulgaria is a touristic country with long sea beaches and high snowy mountains. And there is what to see and where to go, having that nature.

I have a planned surgery for the summer, but I wanted vey much to go to the sea with my girlfriend and some friends. Even not to swim, just for the fun there.

What are you, guys, thinking about? How long after surgery, I'll be able to have the vacation?

Ivo

Try to have your surgery at the beginning of the summer. If everything goes well, I would think that a vacation at the beach at the end of the summer would be very possible. By then you should even be able to swim as long as you don't overdo it!

We traveled by air from our home in CT to to our home in FL 7 weeks after surgery and to Aruba for a vacation at about 10 weeks.

I had surgery in early March and in May I traveled by car about 8-10 hours to attend a wedding. Of course, I did not drive, sat in the back seat and relaxed at the insistence of my sisters. They were very careful with me but I did just fine. Why not ask your dr? I think relaxation should be very good for you, along with the fresh air at the beach. Just don't overdo and get too tired.

I would say..2 months..to really feel good up to having some fun..:) Before then..you would probably be a partypooper and give out sooner than your friends.:D also, remember to keep your scar covered from the sun..it will probably still be tender at 2 months out. bonnie

I had surgery end of December and my surgeon said no going in the ocean or a swimming pool when we took a cruise early March. He was fine about the cruise but didn't want me in a 'body of water'. He also specifically said that even if he would have permitted me to go in the water, he would definitely have said no swimming.

Based on my experience, I'd say give it two to three months. If you get tired at any point, then just take a nap a rest a bit.
