From the weather reports I have seen it looks like most the U.S. is being scorched with a record heat wave. Sounds pretty miserable. How is everyone holding up? It is a cool 72 degrees here in Seattle. I almost feel guilty.....almost;)

The heat is gone for me now. Just opened all the windows to let some fresh air into the house.

We've still got heat here in the NE......but MUCH better than yesterday. I turned the a/c's off and opened all the windows, too.....and that's at 85 right now. I'm sure they'll go back on this afternoon, but for now it's nice and alot cheaper without the a/c's running constantly.

AC off but the windows are closed. We are still waiting for the "cooling rains".HUMID! Deb

We've had a lot of 100+ days here in North Texas... I spend as much time as I can in the A/C, and if I have to go out I crank the A/C in the car, park as close to the building as I can, and head straight for inside where it's cool. When I spend any length of time in the heat I feel awful. I hate having to stay inside, but it's really my only option.

Hey everyone -- been busy as the dickens with hardly any time to come online.

Anyway , re this topic .... I am setting out on a mc trip to Nebraska on Aug 14. 3000 miles round trip and I expect to hit some heat waves. I have purchased all kinds of cooling clothing that you soak in water. Cooling vest, cooling doo-rag for wearing under the helmet, cooling ball cap, and micro-fiber t-shirts.
So ... wish me luck and wish me COOL TEMPS (I.E., NO HEAT WAVES)

:D

gosh, we were only in the 90s today. Coool. My little sister in Dallas is having above 100 every day. Ours will be 100 tomorrow again. We have had some dangerous thunder/lightning storms this week and they are very scary. I hate those.
