Well, Bonny, these would be the Dog Days of August in Georgia, would they not?
NJ is hot and steamish, not good for the type of exercise we're supposed to be getting. I have slacked off for the time being, but with a promise to pick up again as the evenings become more reasonable.
In three weeks, we'll be clamming in Chincoteague, VA. That will be plenty of exercise. Three-plus hours of heavy digging in the hot sun, followed by carting 100+ lbs. of clams about a half mile along the beach, then through the woods to the road. That'll wear in that new valve!
Actually, it doesn't sound like as much fun when you put it that way...
Nonetheless, the setting is beautiful, and mostly quiet, with the kids and beachgoing families headed back to school.
