Thnaks for the update Gina -
there was alink on the site you posted to one on the benefits of eating nuts - excerpt:

The researchers suggest that the nutritional content of nuts--which include high amounts of vitamin E, magnesium, potassium and so- called "healthy" unsaturated fats--may be responsible for their apparent benefit. In particular, they noted that some nuts--such as walnuts--are relatively high in alpha- linolenic acid, a class of fatty acid that may help prevent abnormal heart rhythms and has been shown to cut the risk of sudden cardiac death among people who have already suffered a heart attack.

I started low-carb eating about 3 years ago (with my dr's approval:D ) and 2 of the biggies were Magnesium suppliments and nuts for snacks and hunger cravings.

When I had to stop all my vitamins in August trying to figure out what was causing my low INR, I hated it. I finally started back on all of them last month - including the magnesium. I had been having incread PVC's for a time (most likely stress related), and now that I'm back on all the vitamins, I'm back to normal with occasional PVC's. Wonder if magnesium was a factor?

Thanks for the articles!
