I continue my urgings to you all to check out the HOME PAGE of VR - Have you looked into "Heart Links" yet? If not, why not do it this month? A wealth of information is there just for the clicking. Ann:)

I second that!

I second that!

Thanks for the reminder - There is indeed a lot of information there. There are a couple of links that need to be updated, but for the most part - you can find a lot of good information there.

If there are any links that you think may be helpful to others and they are not included, please ley me know..

Thanks Ann and Hank. I wasn't aware of the wealth of information their. I'm still trying to learn my way around here.
I have another question. Is their certain times you all meet in the chat room, and if so, can you tell me when?

This weekend I ran a 10K. (6.2 mile race) The course was really flat, so I think my time was fairly good. I won't know that until they mail me the final results. If anyone is interested in questions about running or training, I'll be glad to help or try to direct you in the right direction.
Just one more request. (no response is necessary) My sister Kim, was diagnosed with MS last week. Kim is a single mother of a 6 year old. For those who pray, I humbly ask for prayers. Their will be some tough times ahead.
Thanks Everyone. ... Mark

Good Morning Mark!

Your sister has been added to my prayer list as requested.

The chat deal:We're still trying different things to see what works and doesn't work for most people. Now I think we'll have 3 different sessions, 1 at 4:00pm Eastern, 1 at 6:00pm Eastern, and 1 at 8:00pm Eastern. It's difficult accomodating all the different time zones and including the folks across the pond. We can only try this and see if it works out better. Of course, were always open to suggestions. :)

Goodmorning Ross,
Thanks. I copied down the times so I'll try getting involved on my days off. I really appreciate the prayers. Well morning for some, but I am off to bed. Have a great day ... Mark

Oh, Mark, I am so sorry to hear about your sister. They are making strides every day to help MS sufferers. I pray they have help for her. It is a long road. She's in my prayers, big time.

I forgot about the mid-afternoon chat yesterday and took a nap instead. Then when I went on about 5, there were 4-5 members chatting away, so I joined them. It was really nice. Perhaps you can get on one of them. I didn't know about the late afternoon chat session; just lucked into it. Would love to chat w/you.

Have a good sleep - night.

hi mark!
great news about your run_ keep up the good work!!
you are such an inspiration to all of us.
as for your sister, kim, she is in our thoughts and prayers.
my youngest daughter's social studies teacher (a wonderful gal) has ms and has started a team of students and friends who do the annual ms walk in our area. we are doing it again next month.
from what she's told us, they are making great strides in research for ms.
we will be walking for kim as well this year.
be well, sylvia

Thank you Ann and Sylvia,
Your thoughts and prayers are so appreciated. This has been a tough week for my sister and the whole family. Today she will be learning how to give herself shots. We were all pretty stressed about the cost of the shots, as our first information was that the insurance company would only pay 70% of the cost. Tonight we found out that information was wrong, and she will only have a $40.oo per month fee. The total monthly cost of her injections are over $1,400.oo so that was a real load lifted off her. Thanks again. ... Mark

The cost of some of these drugs is just unbelievable. How do they think people can afford them, unless we are very, very wealthy. I remember when Zazz had to have Gleevec (or was it Kleevec) and it was the same story. Thankfully, she got what she needed and is doing very, very well. Hope your sister does, too. God bless

I also will add your sister to my prayer list. Congrats on th 10K. It is probably a great relief for her to know she does not have to pay 1400.00 a month for her injections. That was probably aswered prayer right there.
