THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! And HOME AT LAST!!! Made it home yesterday and am so grateful for the support from my family and my second family here at VR!!! Janet printed your replies and would bring them to the hospital for me. I wish everybody facing OHS could find this site. What a help!!! I`ll post the gory details in a few days, but actually things went as perfect as could be! Thanks again, Bill and Janet :)

Welcome home and back Bill.

You must be addicted to this place too if you post as soon as you come home. I know I was the same way. Rest, excercise, eat and walk. I'll catch up when your ready to post all. :)

Terrific, Bill! You sound great, I know you're not feeling that great just yet. But you're home, and on the road to recovery. I'm so glad you posted. You'll be keeping Janet busy for a little while. LOL

Welcome home! Glad to hear all is well with you. Looking foward to your future posts. Take care!:)

Hi Bill

Welcome home---great feeling, isn't it!!! Remember the creedo: walk, walk, walk, nap, nap, nap, breathe, breathe, breathe.....that spirometer stinks, but it is well worth it!!!

We're leaving tomorrow for 4 days of dog shows in the rain.....I remember being in your position very well.....trust us,there is much great life after AVR.....Stay well.

Welcome home X2 (home & here)

Welcome home X2 (home & here)

Gosh, the day I got home I shuffled into the house, direct to the bedroom and fell in bed (huge puffy down coat, winter boots & all) and slept for a couple hours. What a treat. I'd obviously had a nice dose of painkiller prior to leaving the hospital.

Congrats, Bill; I was supposed to have mitral valve repair; it didn't work. Oh, well - I'm really not griping - at least they could fix what I had. But you are truly lucky.

Be sure you don't get heroic just because you're home and decide to stop pain meds - I believe Janet's been given orders to "stuff them down your throat if necessary."   You'll recover faster and heal better and breathe more deeply if things don't hurt.

Welcome back.

Welcome home!

Welcome home!

We'll miss you in the waiting room but are sure glad to see you safely over the mountain. Rest up. Oh, also tell Janet how much we appreciated her posts. Be good to her, she seems like a real special person. Please have a totally uneventful recovery!.................Betty

Hey, Bill, weren't you afraid of being called the San Diego Chicken before your surgery? :D As Don said, it wasn't so bad after all, was it?

Welcome home, Bill!

We're glad all is going well and pray that it will continue so.

As Betty mentioned, come on back to The Waiting Room and fill us in when you're up to it.

I saw that dirty look, Ross. OK, OK, it's not a ton of fun, either. It's just that I remember Bill's very first post where he said he was so scared he wanted to use the handle "San Diego Chicken". So there! :D

Bill - Great to hear you are finished and home. To think the last time I was on this web site was the day before your surgery. Time really flies. Good luck with your further recovery.

Welcome Home, Bill! Congratulations on the perfect surgery!! Get lots of rest and take good care of yourself. Looking forward to all those gory details:D
