Kateri Marie, born October 25, 2006, 6 lbs, 8 oz -- one year and three weeks after AVR with mechanical valve. She's perfect. I was on lovenox and heparin throughout the pregnancy. I went into labor at 37 weeks and delivered naturally since we were trying to wait out the morning dose of heparin. By the time the 12 hour life of regular heparin was up, doing a Cesarean at 9 cm didn't make any sense.

Anthony and Willow, God bless you for the heroic sacrifices you have made for your children. I can only be grateful to Him that I didn't have to go through the same thing.

Kateri is just beautiful, Karen. So happy things went well for you and wish you many happy years of motherhood!

Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! May she fill each of your days with joy & happiness!
