:) Greetings all,

Just a quick post while I have the energy. Surgery for mitral valve repair successful on 16th April. Returned home Thursday afternoon 24th April OZ time. A few hiccups but not huge in the scheme of things. Up and down days at home, but pacing myself. Will post again in a couple of days, I'm being careful not to overdo it. Many thanks for all the good wishes.
best to all,

Christine:cool:

Glad to see you home and posting. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Your comment about taking advantage of your spurt of energy while it lasts sounds pretty typical of a Post-OHS patient Christine.

Good Days and Not-So-Good Days are also par for the course. As long as there are more Good Days than Bad and your progress is positive when viewed on a week by week basis, you are headed in the right direction.

Another phrase that sometimes appears on VR.com is
"Slow and Steady wins the race".

Keep in touch.

Well done Christine, nice to see another Aussie on the site and all that lovely weather you have in your state should help your recovery. Rest up.

Welcome Home, Christine. Happy to hear things are going smoothly. Take good care of yourself and let us know how you are doing. Wishes for an uneventful recovery.
