I had my 6 mo check up with my cardio today. I needed to take in my INRatio machine to show her, get her to sign off that "Yes, I am a sentient human and can walk and chew gum enough to operate this machine." and I wanted to check it against her machine. She had a Coagucheck.

Well surprise surprise - I get there and she has a new machine - an INRatio! And another surprise - mine tested at 4.2, hers at 4.7. I meantioned to her that we here had suspicions that the INRatio tends to run a little higher in the INR than the other machines, or lab.

Now if I can just get the QAS nurse to call me back to set up my training - I'm running out of strips and I have to do that before I can reorder!

And I must say - once again, that I LOVE my INRatio. I have not had one blown test yet due to error. It takes much less blood than my ProTime did. There have been a few times when I touch the drop of blood to the well and thought 'Hmmm, doesn't look like I got enough on there." But it was enough!

You know what you should have done? You should have both tested with the same strip numbers and same strips. I got a feeling that being of different lots, the results could conceivably be that far apart.
