Hi all -
just checking in - thanks for all the advice - I plan to shop and eat exclusively until vr day - Now that I retired - i will have the time to get ready - but I don't want to even think about it - I'm glad that this site is here so I can gather info b/c i don't want to deal with it - just do it and get it over with - but my daught keeps telling me I have to be involved in what's happening - I know she's right - or maybe so - ignorance really isn't bliss -
Anyhow - just a quick hello - I don't think I'll make the Chat tommorrow - I am going to the casino - straight from church no less - so if I hit the jackpot - I will just have to remain calm -
hope you all have a good day -
Barbara

Hi Barbara

Hi Barbara

You are doing the right thing. Keep your mind on other things until June 10th..then remember, when you check in..they will give you a good feel shot..Zap, you will not remember anything until a day later.:) :) :) tell your daughter that when she sees you in ICU..you are in never-never land.:D :D :D The next day, tell her she needs to get you up and walking the halls. Gets that nasty stuff out of you..My daughter came to visit today and told how the doctor said to her and hubby when I was in ICU..she will be up and walking tomorrow. She said, My gosh, all those tubes..But he was right..they were all gone the next day..and she had me up and walking:) :) :) :) bonnie

Something to add to our list of things to do pre-surgery. I can't believe no one suggested this one before.:)

You have a sound plan. The other thing highly recommended is that you update your will, living will, durable power of attorney, and such things. Admittedly a bummer, but you feel better when it's all done.

Have fun tomorrow.
