I just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the direction of About.com. I posted in the forum, and the doctor that replied suggested that I see a heart failure specialist, and not just a cardiologist, so I think as soon as I am able, I will be taking a trip somewhere to see one. I have looked and we don't have any in my area, so I may have to go to somewhere like Duke University or to Cleveland Clinic. Anyway, I am not giving up and just wanted to say thanks for your help. Harry, I am so glad you got some info from Dr. Rich. I found that site about the time I found VR - when I had no heart education at all. He has helped me many times, especially when my brother got so ill. His explanations are to the point and very clear. The best part is that he answers you personally. If you go to the personal stories on that site, mine is there. I didn't put one in here because I didn't have a valve replacement - just bypasses.

If you do a search in there about 'soap in the bed', it is a fun one that we got into when I kept remarking about foot/leg cramps. Maybe it's still there.
