Hi Georgia...
Well, the potato fields are rapidly going over to truck farming, sod, or development. On the north fork we have MUCHO vineyards and potatoes. Actually, a friend of ours is the biggest LI potato grower on the island....guess he owns about 500 acres here. The sad part is that the development is rapidly encroaching.....

That dog is probably there already. Most handlers com in either on Friday or Saturday.....my guess would be he came in on Wednesday or Thursday, did the local specialties they always have around the "garden time" and will show either Monday or Tuesday at WKC....Don't know when herding dogs are on. We have the Sporting group, and they always show on Tuesday. Should be fun to watch on Monday and Tuesday night on TV. We're not going in this year because the springers are on so late and getting home on the LIRR is a hassle. They're on at 2:45, so we wouldn't get a train out till 4 and that's rush hour....we'll watch it on tv and see who won the BOB class....Chances are the springer will either be Kelli Fitzgerald and her guy "James" or Robin Novak and her boy RB.....but, it's a dog show, so you never know.
Anyway, it's majorly snowing here, but they expect us to get the worst after noon....I've already shoveled the deck once and the walkway....will go out again at 12ish and hit it again. Tyce has swept off the cars and cleared the windshields and he'll do the same again, too. They're talking a minimum of 18-20 inches here, we'll see.
