Help. My second hernia popped out on the bottom of where my incision is. I had one repaired in October and this is the 2nd one. Right above the other one. My cardiac surgeon repaired the 1st one and put in mesh to close it up. A couple of weeks ago I was getting pains there and thought it was a wire issue but wrong again. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yeap. Mine's been repaired twice now and I was told if it lets go again, forget it. My tissues are shot and nothing to sew too.

Aye, it won't be a third ****, you'll just have an alien like Nancy's Joe and I do. I'm sure we aren't the only ones either.

I get "fixed" this Wednesday. I've got a hernia a inch below the sternum, where the draining tube was. The Doc said this will be a minor operation. Do the hernias have a tendency to reoccur? Will

Usually not, at least not by medical standards, but I'm not convinced of that. I know I have bad tissue and nothing to sew too, but when you think about the location of these things, mostly at the top of the diaphragm, coughing, sneezing and many other things take a toll on that weakened area. Just my thoughts on matter, not official.
