Dennis Guy

Just a quick post - I go in today (16th) and have my Aortic Root Replacement surgery tomorrow.
Not sure who is most worried, me or the wife.
Thanks for all your support.
I'll post a progress report as soon as I'm able.
So, whats that phrase?
"See you on the other side of the mountain".
They stopped me jumping out of aeroplanes but they aint gonna stop me climbing this mountain!!!:) :) :)
Regards
Dennis

Very best wishes for tomorrow Dennis. I look forward to hearing from you when it is all over. Wishing you a smooth and uneventful recovery. Thoughts and prayers going to you.

Posted a note on another thread for you - But I wish you well and look forward to the good news.

You'll be fine!!

Hoping all goes very well for you, Dennis. Take care and post again as soon as you're able.

Dennis, you are right, your spouse will have it rough for the first couple of days. I'm sure that the staff will give her regular reports on how wonderful you are doing. Off you go, see you in a couple of days!:)

In a year, you should be able to jump out of airplanes again, if this was the only reason they stopped you. Of course, if the chute's not packed right, it could be a waste of perfectly good surgery...

Most of the time, this surgery gives you your life back. Then it's yours to choose your life risks and move on.

You'l be in my thoughts on Monday.

Best wishes,

Dennis, you may be equally worried today, but tomorrow she is the one who is going to be suffering. It's really hard on the loved ones who stand and wait. Bless them, too.

Dennis,
Good luck for a succesful surgery and speedy recovery. I am two weeks post surgery and can tell you there is a wonderful light at the end of this tunnel. Just try to stay strong with your inner calm and be in the moment and it will all go very quickly.
All the best, Betsy

Dennis,

I suspect I'm late on this, but ...

GOOD LUCK!

Thoughts/prayers coming your way for a SUCCESSFUL surgery :).
