I apparently have some hematuria going on. Not enough to see blood in urine, just enough so that my PCP found it (and neutrophils -- pus, he called it) when I had my annual a month ago. Culture showed nothing. Recheck last week found same thing.
I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow. Have been given several names of urologists. My PCP suggested one in particular who is very open w/ patients, explains things in details. Dr. Murphy said being the kind of patient I am, I would prefer that one.

I did research hematuria at vr.com and read through posts -- last were back in 2002. Any of you who've been there, done that please indicate what the resolution is for this PITA.

I'd dismiss it, drink lots and lots of water and go on my merry way, but my PCP does want to rule out any tumor even though he does believe is from Coumadin. I can't quibble with him.
Took Levaquin to humor him. That was another PITA! Was in Baton Rouge LA showing my cat and consolidating records from all the judging rings. I think I worked 20 minutes, then dashed off to the women's room, work another 20, dash off again, etc.

Are you sure you aren't starting a mild infection? I doubt highly that it's the Coumadin unless your really above 5.0.

It is best to get it checked out. One of the things that warfarin does is unmask small problems. Things that might not bleed until they get to be big problems in non-warfarin users, can cause a little bleeding in warfarin users. Then a workup can show a small problem before it becomes a major problem.
