I sent a few copies of the UK documentary on the St Jude Silzone valve to members of the forum and I know that they were being sent on to others who had expressed an interest in the programme.

If someone has finished with the VHS video would they please be good enough to volunteer to send it on to Lance in Ontario as he would like to view it.

If you e-mail or PM him through VR.com, he will let you have an address to send it to.

I would appreciate your help as I do not have any more USA, NTSC copies of the tape at present.....we use a different format in UK.

Are tricky to send thru U.S. Postal...They get damaged, ect. I think the P.O. has a special package for them..I would like to see a copy, too. Bonnie

I can dub off four copies of a video (five if I take back a dubbing deck that's subbing for a busted VCR in the living room) should it surface....


I used to do video production as a small business (it tanked) and I still have all of my equipment. I can make pretty decent copies, better if I'm going form an original tape.



Just a thought....


If you're shipping videotapes, you can purchase bubblewrap mailers from just about anywhere, including USPS offices. Have them mark the outside of the package "VIDEOTAPE DO NOT X-RAY" if shipping overseas.


I used to cheat and wrap tapes in two layers of brownpaper bags just like wrapping a birthday gift then write the adress on the outside. I sent them "book rate" though the rules are a little stricter now "post-9/11"....

If someone can get me a copy - I will transfer it to DVD format - those are much easier to mail around and copy. Or VCD format so it can be watched on your PC's.

Hey Mara....good to hear from you again, and a new avatar too.

So you heard the interview on BBC radio last week.......WOW, this is getting to be a very small world don't you think. I was on your side of the pond at the time so it was a telephone interview. Good to know that it made it's way back again across the atlantic.

Soooooo, I have names of those who want a copy of the programme. If there are any others, please post below so we know how many to produce.

I have noted those who who have requested a copy of the programme.

The tape has gone off to Hank, so we'll let you know how the DVD's are getting on. Obviously we will need your addresses to send these out but we'll advise in the near future.

There was an article about Myrtle's story in the UK magazine Woman's Own today. Our Woman's Own is rather different to y'alls....I scanned and sent it to all those whose e-mail address is in my address book, so if you missed out, send me your e-mail address and I will forward it on to you.
